About Timeslots
What are time slots?
Time slots are used to manage the availability (the number of orders you can accept) for each day of the week and comprises of the following element:
- Time slot: the actual time when someone can order at i.e. 12:00 - these are defined with a start time & end time;
- Frequency i.e. 15 minutes - you can have the following intervals between time slots: 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. The interval does not have to be the same throughout a schedule.
- Duration i.e 15 minutes - this is the number of minutes you wish to allocate to an order so that the system can display the time frame correctly i.e. collection between 17:00 – 17:15, throughout the session. For each time slot, you can specify:
- The total number of orders you wish to take for that timeslot;
- That number can be broken into a number of collection orders and a number of delivery orders
You can create any number of availability schedules that automatically start and end at the specified dates.
