PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS FUNCTION ONLY APPLIES IF YOU ARE USING THE TABLE MANAGEMENT MODULE
You may want to block a specific table for various reasons:
You are quite busy at a particular time and want to restrict bookings for that table either from the web, or for both web and telephone bookings;
You need that table to remain free for a specific reason
That table is broken or unsuitable for bookings for a period of time…
Please note that the below process must be repeated for each table.
Important
If a table can never be booked (for web or telephone bookings), then this is setup as an attribute to that table in Floor Setup > Tables, where a table can be set to:
Be available or not for Web bookings
Be available or not for Telephone bookings
By default, all tables are available for walk-ins, unless a block has been applied.
Creating a Block
From the main menu, click on Availability and select Block Table.
Click on + Add Block Table.
Enter a description why you are blocking that table (please ensure that it is a meaningful description so that other users / support team can easily identify why the block was created.
Enter the Start Date & End Date for which the block applies. Note: If it is for the same day, both dates should be the same. If it is a recurring block i.e. every Monday, then the end date should be left blank.
Enter the Start Time & End Time for which the block applies. Note: If it is for the same day, both dates should be the same. If it is a recurring block i.e. every Monday, then the end date should be left blank.
Select the day / days for which the block applies in Schedule.
Click on SAVE.
The new block has been added to your blocked tables list.
Deleting a block
To delete an existing block, click on the Delete icon.
Editing a block
To edit an existing block, click on the Edit icon.
