By default, the option for guests to opt-in for email and/or SMS marketing communication is switched off.
The feature to ask guests to opt-in for newsletters & SMS marketing is automatically displayed if you are using the Marketing Module (so that you can build your marketing database).
You can however switch that feature on in Site Configuration in your booking system – which allows you to use that data in third party systems like MailChimp or Airship (either manually, or via our automated API). See below:
This will add your opt-in option(s) at the end of the booking process.
PLEASE NOTE
As per GDPR requirements, the guest will receive a notification email to confirm their wish to opt-in and preferences;
If you use your opted-in data in a third party marketing system, opting-out facility must be provided in the 3rd party marketing system - if using the favouritetable marketing system, you must include the [UNSUBSCRIBE] option;
Your opted-in guest data is solely for the exclusive and sole use of your restaurant. It will never be shared with other restaurants.
