This information helps you manage guest seating priorities and optimises number of walk-ins you can accommodate.
When on your floor plan, click on the timer icon…
This will display the various options:
The Currently Seated Time option is great to help you manage service levels on the floor.
For example, on the floor plan below, you can see that table 20 has been sat for 2 hours 23 minutes. You know that tables of 6 guests are allocated for 2 hours and 30 minutes, so this table only has 7 minutes left. By this stage, coffees and bill should be on the table. If the waiter has not yet taken the order for desserts / coffees, here is the cue to notify the waiter that this table needs to be turned around.
Note: The table is also shown in amber colour, which is another indication that the table is in its last 15 minutes of table allocated time.
The Time Remaining option is great to help you manage service levels on the floor.
It helps you gauge whether future booking arrivals may need to be moved to other tables, when a table is slow moving.
The Time to Next Reservation option allows you to perfectly gauge what to do with each table.
Going back to our table 20, it shows that this table is not needed for another 2 hours and 5 minutes… so no need to rush that table – they have plenty of time, mostly if they are spending good money…
The Next Reservation Time option is great to manage walk-ins…
For example, you have a walk-in of 4 guests at 14:55 and they say they just want a quick bite as they need to be out within the hour… Table 22 is your best bet, as it is not required until 16:00 for next reservation.
During busy service times, this timer option allows you to be very accurate with walk-in by telling them exactly how long you can give them a table for.
