We're embarking on the next phase of our growth journey and now looking for a Business Development Manager who can connect, convince, convert and close during outgoing telephone calls.

The role

You will be responsible for identifying new potential sales leads with buyer personas matching our target niche, reaching out to them primarily by telephone and winning their business. You’ll do that by articulating the benefits of Favouritetable, booking online demos if necessary and managing the opportunity to completion.

Broadly, the role will include (but isn't limited to):

  • identifying potential sales suspects and converting them to prospects

  • meeting the required KPI for making outgoing cold calls to prospects

  • maintaining a solid and meticulously managed pipeline of prospects, including diarised call backs

  • Exceeding the required standards for a variety of metrics for various sales KPIs, such as monthly revenue, average invoice value, units sold, call success rates, demos booked, lead time etc

  • identifying opportunities for cross selling upgrades and add-ons

  • Arranging and holding demonstrations with other members of the team

  • Recording all activity in the CRM system

  • Periodic account management activities

  • Producing weekly performance statistics and monthly sales attainment forecasts

The person

We're more interested in an applicant's capability and personality than we are in hard experience, although previous exposure to some key areas would certainly be beneficial. The ideal candidate will thrive in an environment where the following are key:

Experience

If you have the right attitude and traits, we can teach you to succeed. However, we will prioritise applicants with experience of outgoing calling, managing a sales process with customers from opening conversation to the close, negotiation and diary management.
